Lakeview CO. was born from the idea that there is more than one way to fund the Great Commission than just tithes and offerings out of a church. This idea caused Lakeview Church's lead pastor, Phil Wiebe, to propose the idea of purchasing the strip mall that the church meets in and using the tenant lease funds to meet the needs of the community the church serves in. The church will occupy a portion of the strip mall while independent businesses will lease out the other spaces.
Lakeview Church had already begin this type of marketplace venture by leasing out their lobby to a coffee shop, called Ditta Caffe. Not only did this venture provide funds to the church, the building remained open with people from the community in it daily. Some of those guests have even joined the church and have now found JOY and FREEDOM in Jesus. As Lakeview Church has grown since its inception (Easter of 2019), it has already started a second campus in the next community where Ditta Caffe is also now opening another coffee shop in the lobby.
